Are there different types of pomeranians?

Because i seem to see two different kinds. One type i see alot looks more fox-parallel. They have a long nose, bigger ears, longer legs, and longer fur that isnt poofy and fuzzy, its more tantamount to hair. And then i see some that have hair that poofs out everywear and their faces are more scrunched looking. Isnt there also unfamiliar sizes you can get? as in a standard size and then a teacup size? I'm thinking of getting a pomeranian but i much prefer the foxier looking pomeranians. Is it just how you grrom them or are there disregard variations in the breed and it just depends on the breeder you get them from? By the way, im not talking about a different breed of dog with maybe a similar face. I know whats a pomeranian and whats not.

No I don't think there are different kinds, some just look a little various than others. You can ask the breeder for pictures of the parents and how much the parents weigh. That should give you an idea of what to expect. I have a 10 month old, and she is so much fun! <3
  • Not that i know of.
  • There is another genre of Pomeranian. It looks the same but it's bigger than the other one. It's called American Eskimo dog. It's a medium dog and looks the same as a Pomeranian. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/food/4/47/American_Eskimo_Dog.jpg http://www.deplaza.com/mydoggy.us/pomeranian.jpg5.JPG standard size pomeranians for sale
