I had grown up with Bruce Hornsby and "The Range", Yes, Rush, Allmans, Doobies, Monarch Crimson, and "The Grateful Dead", The Eagles, Cream, Clapton, and Gentle Giant. I am an official "DeadHead" as I collect Dead-Correlated and rock music. But, I also became so influenced by rock at one point, that I picked up Drums, Bass, and Keys. I now play often and write alot of music. What music do you itch?

Hendrix and almost all gruff rock!
I crave the blues and bluesy rock like Led Zep. This music will live on forever.
The Doors do it for me, was raised on them. Now at 33, my son (13) appreciates them too.
I "comprehend" all types of music but I "like" to listen most of the time to old rock and roll. I "crave" Little Richard music. I do not "enjoy" rap music.

I used to like hardcore ruined. Then I moved to Alternative and Punk rock. For a very short period of time, I actually got into boy and girl bands (Sweetheart influence, don't ask). Then got back to Alternative and Punk Rock. NOW? I'm into Classical music. Strangely, I ended up loving the works of Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi and the likes.
Jazz
R&B!!!!
I equal all kinds of music in moderation, but particularly indie folk/rock, big bands of the 1940s, Puccini operas, Mozart, Beethoven and Dvorak.
